Okay, yes, I know the moon is not a planet.

The moon, is, however, the Earth’s only natural satellite and the fifth largest natural satellite in our solar system. For this reason alone it could be that it has life on it, right? Yes, there have been many explorations to prove otherwise, but for many years people on Earth believed that the moon was inhabited. It is also the only celestial body that man has stepped upon.

There are a dozen gods and goddesses associated with the moon. The word Lunar, which relates to the moon’s cycle, is from the Latin word Lunar. One of the reasons that people tend to associate a female deity with the moon might be related to the female menstrual cycle. With that said, it’s is definitely time to move along before I get myself in trouble.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Or not.

I am still doggedly going through one box at a time looking for everything. There is nothing around here that shows that Christmas is right around the corner. With the exception of a festive snowman hand towel in the bathroom and some placemats on the dining room table.

My attitude shows the Christmas Spirit the least. My kids are having issues at the new school and I'm trying to find other options for their education. I feel like the hubby and I are strangers. This house is already getting torn up by the destructive crew. Er, I mean my darling little angels.

So I'm off trying to sort things out and regain my sense of humor. I'm afraid I'm loosing it piece by piece. I need to cut that out. My laugh might be all I have at the end of this road. It sure won't be my sanity.

A lot of Madness

You know those weeks. We all have them. The weeks where everything seems to not go quite as smoothly as you like. That's the week I'm having.

I'm putting on a brave smile and going fourth with everything I have to accomplish.

My kids are in school, so that is a huge plus. I had to chuckle at my oldest son last night. His Opa asked him in what ways his new school is different than his old one. A seemingly innocent enough question; but I had already told Opa some of the huge differences. Such as armed security at the school. An entirely different atmosphere. Huge discipline issues within the school and on the buses. And the buses! We have to walk a little ways to get to our bus stop, which is the bus stop for the entire area. We are talking like 30 kids right now, and that number will only go up as more people move in. The bus stop is madness. The bus is divided. Boys on one side, and girls on the other. The differences just go on and on. Well, back to my point. Opa asked my oldest...and do you know what that sweetheart of a boy said? "I get to have pizza every day for lunch if I want to, and it's much spicier than my old school. I love it!"

I only wish I had my children's resiliency right now.

A little bit of madness

I think I am spreading my madness around nicely. The movers came today and my house is a complete pit. Not for lack of effort, mind you. I made a huge effort and had the house looking decent, and then a tornado swooped down the chimney and messed every thing up. It was an amazing sight. So fast! So chaotic! I just had no time to stop it.

The movers were working with me, thank goodness! I had two rooms ready for them, so they started there, and then I finished the basement and they packed it up, too. I cleaned the living room while they were here and they complimented me on it. I thought that was nice. The told me to pace myself and they had faith that I can get the rest of the house looking as nice. I tried not to snicker. I am trying. Really, I am. I'm pooped right now, though.

To go with my stress of the house, the Hubby is "missing." No word from him all day. I called my Dad and my Dad said he has heard from him, so I guess that is something. I am waiting to hear if he gets to come home or not. I figure he must be hiding on that evil giant tin can. I'm not very good at waiting for information.

I guess I'll keep plugging along.
